THE EVENT
THE CLASSIC IS BACK!
The Philadelphia Cycling Classic is set to return after a nine-year hiatus, reestablishing itself as the largest UCI cycling race in the United States. Originally founded in 1985, the event has historically attracted premier national and international teams, including renowned names such as 7-Eleven, CSC, and U.S. Postal Teams, while drawing crowds of more than 200,000 spectators along the course.
The 13.5-mile route winds through the city’s most iconic neighborhoods, with spectators lining the streets—often four-deep—on the legendary Manayunk Hill, before culminating along the main approach to the Philadelphia Museum of Art.
New for 2026, the event will feature both men’s and women’s races, reinforcing a commitment to inclusivity. Race day will take place on Sunday, August 30, preceded by a two-day Fan Festival on August 29–30. The festival will feature more than 200 vendors, alongside live music, food, and beverages, and will be free and open to the public.
